I am writing this to thank you for the fantastic service and unique product you have in Stonegrill. As you know, I am the venue manager for two sites in West Auckland, The Hangar and Black Salt. We have used Stonegrill as the centrepiece of our menu at The Hangar from day one.

The benefits for our business have been two-fold. Firstly the Stonegrill system allows us to produce food very quickly during busy times and is the backbone of our ‘Lightning Lunch’ menu – which guarantees the diner will have their food in front of them within 20 mins of ordering or product is free. Secondly, Stonegrill has had a major positive impact on our kitchen wage costs, enabling us to serve a large quantity of food on a weekly basis with minimum staff costs per shift.

The Hangar has carved itself out a reputation over the last three years as being West Auckland’s premium hospitality venue and I believe Stonegrill has been a contributing factor to that. We aim to service all hospitality occasions simultaneously and Stonegrill has been instrumental in establishing our restaurant as one of the most popular eateries in West Auckland.

I took over the management of Black Salt in January of this year and started to review all processes from the ground up. The food needed immediate attention to capture the local market, and we thought first and foremost that Stonegrill would fit the bill. Locals in New Lynn are looking for value for money, good portion sizes and a point of difference. Stonegrill has enabled us to provide all these wants as well as being a very healthy way to eat as no sauces or oils are used in the cooking. That, coupled with the theatre Stonegrill creates in the restaurant has helped put us firmly front of mind with our local patrons in a very short space of time. Since moving to Stonegrill at Black Salt our food sales have increased over 30% … and climbing.

I would genuinely endorse Stonegrill to another establishment looking to save costs and produce great meals with a point of difference. Finally, Peter, your service in helping us create various menus over the last three years has been invaluable.
